GooseEgg is a project that makes visible the things that online social networking structures make invisible. The team set up a station downtown Toronto with t-shirts and business cards and collected information from pedestrians who were willing to submit it. When registering for the social network each person provided only their name and email address, but immediately the GooseEgg team began conducting searches online in order to create the users profile. When the user returned home and checked their email they would be surprised to see their GooseEgg social networking website profile complete with their image and personal information which was found publicly online.
